I have had a couple requests this month for more information on the cheapest and best way to print out digital photos. If you have a decent printer at home you can print out photos on special paper at home but if you want to print out more than a couple this can work out very expensive.

At this point you have two choices, take your memory card or photos on CD to a shop or upload them to an online photo printer. The big names on the high street offer a digital photo service, including supermarkets. Many of these also offer an hour service for a premium fee.

Online services may take a little longer to arrive using Royal Mail. I use www.photobox.com. This website is well established and now has links with Boots Photo. They offer 40 free prints for new customers and you can earn reward prints by recommending friends. Every week they have special offers on for free postage or BOGOF offers.

www.tescophoto.com and www.snapfish.co.uk both offer 50 free prints when you sign up. So it is worth ditching loyalty and signing up for them all for the free prints. If you have a modern HP printer you should have direct access to Snapfish through the software bundled with your printer.

All these websites offer other services like enlargements, canvases, mugs and other gifts. These  can make useful gifts on the run up to Christmas. Grandparents often appreciate a calendar or mug with their grandchild’s cheeky smile on them.

The photo printing market is a competitive so it is worth shopping around.

Happy Snapping!
